Did you know?

In France, we know this armchair with its large backrest as the "Emmanuelle armchair". It comes from a 1974 movie that features the chair on its poster: a woman answering to the name of Emmanuelle is sitting lasciviously on it...

But in reality, this armchair was originally named Pomare, after the royal family of Tahiti, the country from which it originates.
